![]() | WHO I AM:
My name is Sarah and I've lived most of my life in Michigan. Which, I know, doesn't tell you much. Especially since the sports teams I root for (save two soccer teams) aren't from Michigan. But first, a little bit more about me. I'm an almost 30 year old librarian. I just graduated from library school and I'm working part time in two public libraries. My long term goals include moving to the east coast, and eventually to Europe. I enjoy writing (blogging especially), reading, listening to music, watching movies -- you know, the basics. But, my true love? Sports. Yeah, that's right. I love professional cycling, college football and soccer. But that's not all. I'm a big fan of baseball, football, golf, tennis, basketball and the list goes on. In many ways sports, more than my job, define me. And I'm okay with that. The real question is, though, what do I like? |
| WHAT I LIKE:
Books: I like several genres, and yes, I am that specific. I like science fiction, but I really love cyberpunk. William Gibson is my favorite author and Pattern Recognition is my favorite book. I also enjoy Scandinavian mysteries and YA science fiction/fantasy. My other big genre love is sports books, mostly soccer and cycling related. I've read several tennis ones that I like as well. Sports: I'll just throw some teams at you. Arsenal, DC United, AC Milan, USA and Denmark for soccer (players: Michael Bradley, Nicklas Bendtner and Rune Jarstein). I love the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers (favorite baseball player is obviously Grady Sizemore). I am a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan (except for hockey, and then I root for MSU). I love a few cyclists and golfers as well: Sylvain Chavanel, Philippe Gilbert, Fredrik Jacobson and Aaron Baddeley (cycling and golf respective). I think that covers everything for now. If you have any questions, ask. And yes, I took the above picture myself (on a plane on the way to Florida for a funeral). << |
